Our Philosophy

At Vocalise Speech Pathology, we believe that communication is a human right. Communication connects us and makes us feel happy and fulfilled. We strive to help our clients achieve their functional and meaningful communication goals and improve their quality of life.

Jacqueline Giesser is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) (and a Member of Speech Pathology Australia). She studied a Bachelor of Speech, Hearing and Language Sciences at Macquarie University and a Masters of Speech Pathology at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Jacqueline believes that each person should have access to their voice whether that is through speaking, singing, making vocal sounds, sign language or augmentative alternative communication (AAC). Every voice matters.

Therapy Session Types

We will provide therapy targeting the client's needs and achieving functional goals by collaborating with schools and families.

Weekly intervention focuses on the client's needs and achieving functional goals decided by both the family, school and practitioner.

We ask questions about your case history, conduct an assessment using assessment tools and may provide an explanation about where therapy may lead in future.

Vocalise uses a collaborative, relationship based approach to therapy, meaning that we encourage parents and carers to be a part of therapy sessions. We also recommend monthly or quarterly parent coaching sessions to support your child or family member’s progress. This ensures that we get the best results from our sessions.

We often recommend quarterly meetings with all stakeholders involved in our client’s care to ensure we are all collaborating and effectively supporting you.

Vocalise Speech Pathology's Visual Journey

The Voice Behind Vocalise

Jacqueline has been working in private practices around Sydney. As such, Jacqueline has professional relationships with local schools, preschools and other allied healthcare professional services such as Ear Nose and Throat Specialists (ENTs), Developmental Paediatricians, Dentists, Orthodontists, GPs and Occupational Therapists, to name a few.

Jacqueline is a passionate communicator, and the heart behind Vocalise. She believes that every person deserves a way to be heard, whether that’s through words, signs, sounds, or supported communication. Her approach is neuro-affirming, identity-led, and deeply respectful of each person’s unique way of connecting with the world.

Vocalise was born from her belief that communication is more than just talking – it is how we show who we are, ask for what we need, and take up space in the world. She is here to help people do just that: speak, be heard, and thrive.

Jacqueline works with a wide range of clients, including those with:

  • Literacy or language challenges

  • Stuttering or speech sound disorders

  • Autism or ADHD

  • Orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMD)

  • Swallowing or feeding support

  • Voice disorders

  • Aphasia

  • And more

Assessments

Jacqueline tailors each assessment to meet the specific needs of her clients. Depending on the focus — speech, language, literacy, feeding, or voice — she draws from evidence-based, dynamic and standardised assessment tools. These may include recognised assessments like CELF-5, PLS-5, DEAP, WIAT-II, YARC, or Sounds~Write screeners, among others. Every assessment is personalised to ensure the best insights and outcomes for our clients.
